This module provides a web service that will allow additional applications or web sites to authenticate using the DotNetNuke user accounts for a given portal. The service also allows you to verify if a user exists in a particular role within the portal. 

This module is great for intergrating non-DotNetNuke sites login process or non-web based applications authorization rules with a DotNetNuke portal.

 The module uses classic ASMX web services to make it easy to use the service from Silverlight, Non-Mircosoft platforms or older technologies that can utilize SOAP 1.1.
